The ERA licences utility services in Western Australia, including:
- Electricity generation, transmission, distribution and retail.
- Gas distribution and trading.
- Water services – potable water, non-potable water, sewerage, irrigation and drainage.
As part of the licensing approval process, stakeholders and interesting parties are invited to make submissions.
Once the consultation process closes, the ERA will make our decision, taking into account the financial and technical ability of the applicant to undertake the activities authorised by the licence.
The application summary and any submissions will be made available on this webpage until a decision is made. Once we approve and grant a licence, the application documents will be made available on that licensee's webpage.
