About the Economic Regulation Authority

The ERA is Western Australia's independent economic regulator. We aim to ensure the delivery of water, electricity, gas and rail services in Western Australia is in the long-term interest of consumers.

Recent Projects

Public Transport Authority

The urban component of the former Western Australian Government Railways/Westrail network is under the control of the Public Transport Authority (PTA) for the provision of urban passenger services. The PTA operates this service as an integral part of the Transperth system.

Access Arrangement for Period commencing 2026

The Dampier to Bunbury Natural Gas Pipeline (DBNGP) is one of the largest capacity natural gas transmission pipelines in Australia, spanning 1,600 kilometres starting near the township of Dampier, running parallel to the coast of Western Australia, and finishing near Bunbury, south of Perth.
